Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) RFCs
LDAP is pretty cool; if you want to know more about X.500 (which could
be considered the “Heavyweight Directory Access Protocol”) you’ll have
to go to the ITU website, dig through it very carefully and then shell
out some Swiss francs to download the appropriate specifications. Or
you can check the RFCs out, which contain pretty much all you need if
you’re going to be using or developing for LDAP. Try to stick with the
“standards track” (proposed or draft standard) RFCs here; the
informational and experimental ones may be of less (though still some) use.
